Mayor Anthony Court Elected as President of the AMBP

Ellwood City Mayor, Anthony J. Court, has been elected as President for the AMBP (Association of Mayors of the Boroughs of PA).

Mayor Court will officially take office on June 1, 2021, for a two-year term.

In a quote from the mayor, he stated “As a “Mayor of the Year Award recipient in 2014″, I believe leadership is something a community looks for in a mayor. As a hard-working public servant, I believe in always putting the community first and making a positive difference statewide. I also feel our main goal as Association of Mayors of the Boroughs of Pennsylvania is to assist you in being thebest mayor you can be and to promote the successes your boroughs are experiencing. I’m honored to fulfill this important role as president of the Mayor’s Association. I can promise you all, I will continue to work diligently, professionally, and with integrity for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania always! Many successful programs have been started in my 14 years as Mayor of Ellwood City, and I’m committed to all of my peers, in working together for the good of our communities and the Commonwealth.”

In a statement from Outgoing President, Deborah A. Bargo, she stated   “Tony” brings to the office a desire of success for all boroughs and will strive to assist making that a reality. I wish Mayor Court continued success in the community.”

President Court also stated “”I accept this challenge and look forward to bringing the same commitment to the presidency, as I have as Mayor of Ellwood City!”
