Comicon Returns To The Waterfront

3 Rivers Comicon returns to the Pittsburgh area to bring comics, toys, and other nerdy things to fans May 22-23, 2021 at the Waterfront in an outdoor event. Due to COVID-19 restrictions the convention, which normally takes place inside, will have all their vendors and guests under tents in the overflow lot between the Farmer’s National Bank and Steak ‘n Shake, near New Dimension Comics, this year.

The convention is free to the public starting at 12 noon each day with a $5 early bird shopper option from 10am-12pm each day. Vendors and guests include a variety of comic book dealers, toy vendors, cosplay groups, nerd crafters, authors, artists, and more. 3 Rivers Comicon was founded in 2015 by the team at New Dimension Comics, a chain of comic book stores in the Pittsburgh, Pa area that has been in business for over 35 years. The event was created by Ellwood City New Dimension Comic Book store owner Todd McDevitt. The convention was founded with the idea of putting “comics back into comicon” after seeing many conventions use comic in their name but having a lack of comic book presence at their shows.
