The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.
The Library has partnered with Seneca Library District, Oil Creek Library District, Erie County Public Library and Crawford County Federated Library System for e-books. You can now use the Overdrive or Libby App. to borrow books from the above Libraries. Please call the library with any questions.
PLEASE NOTE, WE’RE OPEN
The Library will be open by appointment only. Call the library to set-up an appointment to browse for books or use a computer. Anything printed must be paid for with exact change or check. We will not be making copies at this time. Newspapers and magazines will not be available. Limitations for patrons are 10 items with a limit of three, for either books on CD or DVD’s per person. Masks are to be worn, covering mouth and nose, while in the building for the entire visit. We will continue doing curbside pick-up. Please call us with the book(s), authors, genre or recommended material you would like to check out and our staff will see that it is in alphabetical order in the lobby for you. Limitations for patrons are 10 items to include books and limited to a total of three DVD’s or books on CD per person. All patrons must wear a mask when entering the lobby and wait until there are less than three people in the lobby. We are still doing our returns in specially marked containers in our lobby. Please do not put any donated books in these bins. 724-758-6458 is the number to call with requests.
Hours are Tuesday 10:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m., Wednesday 10:00 a.m. – 6:15 p.m. Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Lobby is open during these times for curbside pick-up and returns. Please remember no one is available to take your calls unless it is in the hours listed above.

10:00 a.m. – “Baby Laptime,” this virtual program will be on our Facebook page.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 5
6:30 p.m. – “Evening Book Group,” will be discussing the book “Call Your Daughter Home” by Deb Spera through Zoom.
THURSDAY, MAY 6
5:00 p.m. – “Hooked on Books Book Group,” will be discussing the book “An Elephant in the Garden” by Michael Morpurgo through Zoom.
6:00 p.m. – “Family Laptime,” this virtual program will be on our Facebook page.
SATURDAY, MAY 8
10:00 a.m. – “STEM Saturday,” a program on the Library’s Facebook page. Remember to pick- up your kit in the Library’s lobby during our open hours. A Zoom link is also available to those who do not have or want to do it on Facebook, please call the library to register your e-mail if you are choosing to do it by Zoom.
