Betty J. Frenson, 93

Mrs. Betty J. Freson, 93 of Ellwood City passed away on Saturday, April 24th, 2021 at the Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Betty was born on June 11th, 1927 in Rochester to the late Frank G. and Bessie (Brewer) Smith. She had graduated from the Lincoln High School with the class of 1945 and then attended West Minister College for accounting. Betty worked for her father’s company, Ken Fox and Frank Smith Developers as a secretary. She was a devoted member of Bell Memorial Church and enjoyed reading and sewing.

She is survived by her son Joel (Sherry) Freson of Darlington, her daughter-in-law Diane Freson of Neshanock Twp., her grandchildren Erin and Mark Klueppel, her step-grandson Brandon Lloyd, her step-great-grandchildren Maddy, Lennon, Zach and Gage, and her sister June Alfer of Winter Haven, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter Freson whom she married on June 7th 1948 and passed away on November 22nd, 2017, her son, Mark David Freson and her step-grandson Richard Lloyd.

Public visitation will be held on Monday, May 3rd from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at which time a memorial service will take place at the Bell Memorial Church in Ellwood City with pastor Glen Hink officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Slippery Rock Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc..
