The Beaver County Championships were held this past Saturday at Riverside High School and teams from all over Beaver County came to compete at one of the first big invitational of the 2021 season.
Seniors Colby Belzyck and Graham Kralic from Riverside High School each took first place in more than one event to propel the Panthers to another championship. The Panthers won the invitational in 2019, but last years meet was cancelled due to COVID-19.
Belzyck took first in the 800 meter run, 1,600 meter run, and was a part of the winning 1,600 meter relay team. Kralic took first in the 110 meter hurdles and the 300 meter hurdles and also placed 8th in the 200 meter dash. Riverside’s 4×100 relay team also came out on top placing first in the event.
The Panthers placed 1st first overall out of seven Beaver County teams. With other members of the Riverside team placing in the top 10 in other events, this win was a team effort for the Panthers. [VIEW FULL MEET RESULTS]
