According to its social media post Tuesday evening, the Ellwood City Arts, Crafts, Foods, and Entertainment Festival Committee has cancelled its 2021 event.
This postponement marks a second consecutive year the festival has been canceled due to coronavirus safety concerns.
In its statement:
After months of planning and deliberation, it is with deep regret that the Ellwood City Arts, Crafts, Food and Entertainment Festival Committee announces the cancellation of the 2021 Festival.
We love our community and this decision was not made lightly. It was made in consideration of the safety of our vendors, performers, volunteers, and thousands of visitors.
It is impossible to predict what CDC and State Health Department guidelines will be in July. Under the current guidelines, our volunteer-driven event cannot occur safely and legally at its traditional scale.
2022 marks the 40th anniversary of the Festival. We look forward to celebrating the 40th anniversary milestone with all of you, back in Ewing Park.
Sincerely,
The Ellwood City Arts, Crafts, Foods, and Entertainment Festival Committee

THAT IS BEING RIDICULOUS!!!!!!! PEOPLE ARE GETTING TIRED OF THIS VIRUS NONSENSE …BY JULY EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THE VACCINE SO WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?????
soooooo stupid, one good thing if it doesn’t happen our electric bills wont go up afterwards
I am actively involved with many shows, they are all resuming this year. I hope the Festival committee is aware that they are in jeopardy of loosing their artists and craftsmen to other shows.
So sorry to hear this news!! Is there a chance that your decision could be reversed if conditions improve?
I think this decision was made in haste!!!! I look forward to this every year, and my heart goes out to the vendors who depend on this festival. I think the Festival Committee was out of line this year.
