Evelyn V. Lauten, 87 of Fombell passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Shenango on the Green in New Wilmington.
Born in McKeesport, PA on October 6, 1933, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Joseph Franklin and Martha Harrison Dawson. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Lauten on September 28, 2020. They were married on March 23, 1956. Evelyn along with her husband owned and operated Lauten’s Dairy Farm in Fombell. She also worked for the Postal Service.
Evelyn is survived by her 4 children, Diane Durnell of Evans City, Burt (Janet) Lauten, Sr. of Ellwood City, Kenneth (Brenda) Lauten of Fombell and Lynn Lippert of Ellwood City, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Lois Syphrit and Martha Johnson both of New Wilmington and her brother, Glenn Dawson of Ashburnham, MA.
Besides her parents and husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by her 2 brothers, William and Sonny Dawson.
Friends may call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport on Tuesday, March 16th from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A funeral service for Evelyn will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 17th at 11 AM with Rev. Matthew Bupp. Entombment will follow in Zelienople Community Mausoleum.
