POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

VEHICLE FIRE:

On February 15, at approximately 1:32 a.m., a Fombell man was involved in a vehicle fire on Route-18 in North Beaver Township. According to the report, police responded to a report of a PennDOT salt truck that was on fire in the area of PA-18 and Gilmore Road in Lawrence County. According to the information provided by driver, Ronald McElwain, 54, the salt truck was traveling north when he heard a pop, and smoke started filling the cabin. McElwain was able to pull off the roadway and exit the vehicle without injury. The salt truck suffered catastrophic damage from the resulting fire and required towing from the scene.

HARASSMENT:

According to a public information release report, a harassment report was filed on February 22 in Pulaski Township, Lawrence County. According to the report, PA State Police were called to a residence on Tanglewood Road due to a disturbance. Upon arrival it was reported by the victim/arrestee that the incident had become physical when they started to push and shove one another. Both parties, 29-year-old male from Pulaski, PA, and a 27-year-old female from Hubbard, OH, have pending harassment charges against them thru MDJ 53-3-04 charges pending.

VEHICLE ACCIDENT:

On March 4, at approximately 8:48 a.m. a 51-year-old Ellwood City residence was involved in a single car accident on Ellwood Road. According to a report, PA State Police were dispatched the single vehicle crash on Ellwood Road in Slippery Rock Township near Hogue Road. The crash occurred as the 2000 Saturn, driven by Danielle Dull was traveling northbound on Ellwood Road and proceeded off the right side of the roadway. In doing so the unit struck a Verizon Powerbox and then a ditch head on. Upon striking the ditch, the unit rolled over arriving at final rest. The vehicle sustained disabling damage due to the crash. Dull reported no injuries as a result of the crash. Slippery Rock Township VFD and NOGA Ambulance assisted on the scene.

SEXUAL ASSAULT, RAPE:

According to information made available by Magisterial District offices, Lamarcus Robert Cleckley, 39, of Ellwood City, charged by Ellwood City police with rape forcible compulsion, statutory sexual assault: 8-11 years older, sexual assault, indecent assault forcible compulsion, indecent assault on person less than 16 years of age, corruption of minors and selling/furnishing liquor to minor.

  1. LeMarcus Cleckley was acquitted by a jury of only 1 person of color, on all rape and sexual assault charges. It was all a farce made up by the alleged victim. The investigating officer also purgered himself. What a mockery of the justice system and how this case was mishandled from the very beginning. It’s all on record. Lawrence County Court.
