Joan M. Stramella, 91,

Mrs. Joan M. Stramella, 91, passed away on Thursday, January 28th, 2021 at St. Anne’s Home in Greensburg.

Mrs. Stramella was born on October 30th, 1929, in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Casimira “Theresa” (Mrozinski) Pleva. Joan was the last surviving member of the Pleva family. She had graduated from Natrona Heights High School with the class of 1947. She was a member of the Mother of Sorrows Parish in Murrysville, and later a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish in Ellwood City, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers.

She is survived by her son, Mark (Rhondalynn) Stramella of Chambersburg, her son-in-law, Daniel Brammell of Pittsburgh, and her grandchildren, Sarah Brammell, Scott, Shaun, and Andrea Hayner.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony S. “Tony” Stramella Jr., whom she married on November 5th, 1960 and passed away on May 28th, 2005, her son, David “Bubba” Stramella, her daughter, Patty Brammell, and three brothers.

Family and Friends will be received on Friday, February 5th, 2021 from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. A mass of Christian burial will take place at 1:00 pm at the Holy Redeemer Church with Father Philip Farrell officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Those attending are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joan’s name may be to The St. Anne’s Home at 685 Angela Dr., Greensburg, PA 15601.
