Katie’s Korner Announces MLK Day of Service Donation

As we celebrate a day of recognition for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a local ice creamery is giving back.

Katie’s Korner of North Sewickley Township will be donating 100% of its business income on Martin Luther King Day 2021 to the Beaver branch of the Literacy Pittsburgh program.

Literacy Pittsburgh’s Beaver office provides free literacy programs for adults throughout Beaver County.

In a statement, Katie’s Korner says, “Please help us improve literacy in our community by buying yourself an ice cream. We think it will be a sweet treat for us all!”

The ice cream parlor opened up in May 2020 at 801 Mercer Road Beaver Falls (the intersection of PA 65 and PA 588 and right across from Spotlight 88). You can find Katie’s Korner on Facebook or you can visit the website: http://katieskornernst.com/
