Josephine P. Pratt, 92

Mrs. Josephine P. Pratt, 92, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle.

Mrs. Pratt was born in Ellwood City on February 15, 1928 to the late Joseph and Josephine (Valvano) Moliterno. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1944 and the Holy Redeemer Parish. Josephine had worked at Fishers Big Wheel which was located in Franklin Twp. for 18 years as a clerk. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and mostly time spent with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Bernadette (Dave) Pelliccioni of Ellwood City, her son, Joe (Marcia) Pratt of Ellwood City, her grandchildren, Danielle (Kraig) Woodhead, Adam Pratt and his fiance Brianna Windon, and Michael (Carly) Pelliccioni, her great-grandchildren, Annabelle Woodhead, Sydney Woodhead, Lyddie Pratt, and Sylvia Pelliccioni, her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Pratt, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Pete Pratt whom she married on July 9, 1949 and passed away on March 23, 2006, her sisters, Emma Iannantuono, Mary Gaibis, Stella Zingaro, Rose George, and Antoinette Moliterno, and her granddaughter-in-law Erin Pratt.

A private visitation for the immediate family will be held on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of the Blessing Service at 1:30 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Entombment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Resurrection Mausoleum. Those attending are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Memorial Donations in Mrs. Pratt’s name may be made to the Holy Redeemer Angel Fund.

    I am sorry to hear about your mom. She is reunited with her husband that’s got to be some comfort to know that they’re together again. You mom is a special lady She was so kind and sweet towards me. I always enjoy our catching talk. I pray you find peace in your lose.
