Nick R. “Bobby” Viccari, 83, of Ellwood City passed away at UPMC Passavant McCandless on Thursday, December 17, 2020.
Born in Ellwood City on January 23, 1937, Bobby was the son of the late Damiano and Bridgida Lupiano Viccari. He is survived by his wife, the former Patricia Stiles whom he married on February 8, 1958. Bobby worked as a millwright at Mathews Conveyor and later worked at the Housing Authority of Beaver Co. Bobby was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish and the Zelienople Sportsmen’s Club. In the late 60’s and 70’s Bobby was highly regarded as a bass player and singer, noted for his beautiful high voice, in the group Dave Mac & The Country Swingers.
Besides his wife Patricia, Bobby is survived by his sons, Bob (Carolyn) Viccari, Ron “Beatle” (Tammy Fleeson) Viccari and Bill (Eileen McKelvey) Viccari all of Ellwood City, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Jeana Cummings, Rosemarie Moser, Donna Rickert and 2 brothers, Dom (Mary Ann) Viccari and Don (Sondra) Viccari all of Ellwood City.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, Anthony, Philip, Ralph, Patsy and Frank Viccari and 4 sisters, Mary Fabian, Lizzie LaCava, Antoinette Poerio and Viola Mine.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Holy Redeemer Church on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at noon with Fr. Philip N. Farrell. Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory.
