Helen M. Fiori, 93

Mrs. Helen M. Fiori, 93, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. Fiori was born on April 29, 1927 in Ellwood City to the late Joseph and Mary Assunta (Innocent) Frisk. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1944, and from Beauty School in Pittsburgh. For many years she was the owner and operator of Fiori’s Taylor Shop which was located on 6th St. Helen is also a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish and the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers, and the Legion of Mary. She enjoyed shopping and was an avid reader of mystery books.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Suzy Fiori and her dear friend Anita Kinsley of Pittsburgh, her sons, Richard (Cindy) Fiori of Cave Creek, AZ, Ernest (Pat) Fiori of Hillsboro, OR, and Tim (Sari) Fiori of Houston, TX, her grandchildren, Eric Fiori, Chad (Claire) Fiori, and Alex Fiori, her great-grandchild, Logan Fiori, and her sister, Esther Santilo of North Sewickley Twp.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ernest A. Fiori whom she married on April 12, 1947 and passed away on January 24, 2002, her sisters, Ann Frisk, Mary Gangliero, Rose Carabetta, Isabelle A. Frisk, and Lucille Turco, and her brothers, Charles Frisk and Frederick Frisk.

Family and friend will be received on Saturday at the Holy Redeemer Church from 10:00 am until the time of the mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Those attending are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing. The funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc..

Memorial donations in Mrs. Fiori’s name may be made to the Ellwood City Area Public Library.
