Peter “Pete” Christophe, Jr., 60, of Perry Township, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in the emergency room at UPMC Jameson.
Born in Ellwood City on November 4, 1960, Pete was the son of the late Peter and Margaret Palmer Christophe. Pete married the former Barbara Sommers on September 20, 1986 and together with their children, they owned and operated 4 Ways in Shenango Township. Pete enjoyed spending time with family and friends, riding dirt bikes and side-by-sides and he always enjoyed a good bonfire- the bigger, the better.
In addition to his wife, Barbara, Pete is survived by his two daughters, Samantha and her husband, Brandon Rishel, of Shenango Township, Emily Christophe of Perry Township and her boyfriend, Cody Patrick, his granddaughter, Summer Rose Richel, who he absolutely adored, his sister, Jeannie McElwain of Ellwood City, his brother and sister-in-law, George and Jody Christophe of Portersville and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Friday, December 11th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport. All guests are required to wear facial coverings.
Barb, you may never see this comment but, if you do, my heart goes out to you and your family. My mom just told me of your husband’s sudden passing. Although we are out of touch, I hate to hear that you are going through such a heartbreaking time. Please take care and know you are in my prayers.
