The Ellwood City Girls Volleyball team collected two victories this week with a victory over Laurel on Monday and a second, resounding victory over New Brighton on Tuesday.
On Monday, the girls team survived a second set scare from the Spartans, but were able to dispatch Laurel in straight sets, 25-14, 27-25, and 25-20.
On Tuesday, the girls team easily dispatched New Brighton in straight sets, 25-17, 25-15, and 25-8 at Lincoln High School. Junior varsity also collected straight set victories over the Lions, 25-10 and 25-11.
The girls volleyball team (2-0 overall) next travels to Freedom Thursday evening for a 7:30 p.m. varsity match-up.
