Mrs. Dorothy “Dotty” Wallace, 79, of Perry Township. passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the Providence Care Center in Beaver Falls.
Mrs. Wallace was born on July 26, 1941 in Jackson Center to the late Nelson L. and Laura Emily (Faulconbridge) McAnallen. Dotty is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1959. Following high school she worked at Lava Crucible in Zelienople as a secretary until her sons where born. Once her family was grown she worked at Evans Industrial Supply. For the past 24 years she had been serving as the Perry Twp. Tax Collector. She enjoyed line dancing, going with her family and friends to do ceramics, and elaborately decorating for the holidays. Besides spending time with her grandchildren, she cherished time spent with her sister Darlene, especially their trips to Disney World and seeing Mickey Mouse.
Dotty is survived by her sons, Frank “F.J.” (Deanna) Wallace III of Shenango Twp. and Nelson D. Wallace of New Castle, her grandchildren, Dan, Jason, Emily, Eric, and Jayden Wallace, and her sister, Darlene Burton of Ohioville Borough.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank J. Wallace, Jr. whom she married on February 18, 1961 and passed away on December 31, 2016, and her brother-in-law, John Burton.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 3:00 pm until the time of the service at 7:00 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Pastor Dennis Arndt officiating. Interment will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Perry Twp..
