The Ellwood City boys golfers defeated rival Riverside 203-249 on Tuesday at Del Mar Golf Course with Milo Sesti recording a 1-under par round of 35 for the victors.
For the boys, Dan Ditri (41), Geoffrey Boker (42), Joey Hudson (43), and Daniel Rogers (43) joined Sesti on the scorecard. Logan Greer finished with a team low round of 37 for Riverside in defeat. Ellwood City boys golf team now improves to 2-0 on the season.
For the girls, the lady golfers lost a tough battle against Seneca Valley 203 – 181 on Tuesday at Connoquenessing Country Club.
Maddy McCommons (46) and Molly McCommons (47) carded solid rounds in defeat. The loss was the first on the season for the EC girls golfers who now sit at 2-1 on the young season.
Lihini Ranaweera fired a low round of 41 for the victorious Raiders.
