Richard L. Husing, 79

Richard L. Husing, 79 of Perry Township passed away in the ER of UPMC Jameson Hospital on Saturday, June 20, 2020.

Born in Grove City on September 19, 1940, Richard was the son of the late Louis and Hazel Frantz Husing.  Richard is survived by his wife, the former Nancy J. Lample whom he married on January 17, 1958.  Richard was a millwright and had worked at the B & W, ISPCO and retired from Koppel Steel.  He was Christian by faith and enjoyed the outdoors.  Richard was a member of the Zelienope-Harmony Sportsmen’s Club and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He enjoyed tending his large garden and cutting his grass.

Besides his wife, Nancy J. Husing at home, Richard is survived by his 6 children, Sandra York of Perry Twp., Nancy (Butch) Stifler of Indiana, PA, Dicksie (Frank) Work of Princeton, PA, Connie Lauderbaugh of Ellwood City, Richard (Corinne) Husing of Wayne Twp. and Michael Husing of Perry Twp., 13 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great-Great Grandchildren, a sister, Sylvia (Robert) Johnson of Chatahoochee, FL and a brother, P. Roger (Sandy) Husing of Wampum.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Donald Husing, a daughter, Marcie Jeffries and 4 sisters, Marian Zona, Roxanne Cerelli, Shirley Fischer and Kathy Symbala.

Memorial contribution can be made in Richard’s name to the Zelienople-Harmony Sportsmen’s Club, P.O. Box 55, Zelienople, PA 16063.

As per Richard’s wishes, there will be no services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory.
