The following are police criminal complaints filed at the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Lawrence County office of Honorable Jerry G. Cartwright.
FATHER AND SON CHARGED
Sunday, May 31, James Taylor Sr. & Jr. of Bridge Street, were both charged after Taylor Jr., 22, attempted to run from an Ellwood City Police Officer after the officer attempted to do a traffic stop. According to the complaint, Taylor Jr. had been arrested and transported to ECPD where he was placed in a holding cell. Taylor Jr. is being charged wit fleeing/attempting to elude police officer, a DUI, reckless driving, and resisting arrest. Taylor Sr. is being charged with disorderly conduct after the report claims he attempted to charge at the patrol vehicle.
CREDIT CARD FRAUD
On April 2, a man reported to police that his credit card had been used twice without his permission. He informed police that e had just gotten his credit card bill and was just now made away of the purchases from March., both from the 7-11 on North Street. The victim stated that his card had been in his wallet prior to the purchases, however an aid from New Castle was in his apartment on March 21 and 22, the corresponding purchase dates. The aid was identified as Tina Globis, 46, of Ellwood City, after police checked the security cameras at the 7-11 which showed Globis buying two packs of Newport cigarettes each time. Globis says the victim was aware, but the victim told police he wanted to press charges.
DUI
According to a complaint, Bret Baldelli, 38, of New Castle, was cited after a traffic stop on March 17, at approximately 6:40 pm on Wurtemburg Road. Police said his blood tested positive for Clonazepam, fentanyl, norfentanyl and marijuana.
DUI
According to a complaint, Deegan Altman, 18, of Ellwood City, was cited after a traffic stop on March 6, at approxmiately 9:00pm on Fountain Avenue. Altman tested positive for marijuana and was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
