Kathleen “Kathy” Smiley, 78, of Frisco, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 22, 2020.
Born in Beaver Falls, PA on June 14, 1941, Kathy was the daughter of the late Robert and Nelly McClure Boyd. She was married to Robert Charles Smiley on March 25, 1961 and they enjoyed 58 years together. Kathy worked at Christy’s Restaurant, Fisher’s Big Wheel, Hessler’s Bus Garage as a bus driver, Ellwood City Hospital cafeteria and retired from the hospital business office. Out of all of her work, her passion was her catering business, All Occasion Catering, where she was able to touch so many with her delicious food. Kathy was a member of Lillyville Church of God. Her greatest joys in life were her children and grandchildren.
Kathy is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law; Robert Dean (Alana) Smiley of Fombell, Timothy Allen (Lisa) Smiley of Franklin Township and Daniel Charles (Lisa) Smiley of North Sewickley Twp., 7 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Boyd and three sisters; Phyllis Daugherty, Betsy Boyd and Sally Grossman.
Kathy will be greatly missed by her family and wish they could have a formal service; however, due to Covid-19, private services will be held with family. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport. In lieu of flowers please donate in her memory to Kindred Hospice who provided her excellent care through the end of her life.
