Ellwood City Annual Easter Egg Hunt Cancelled

Ellwood City's Area Community Easter Egg hunt. A day of hunts, games, character appearances and face painting, balloons and other activities.

According to information made available this afternoon, the 25th Annual Easter Egg hunt has been cancelled.

In a statement from the committee, and due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Ellwood City Area Egg Hunt has to cancel this year’s community Easter Egg hunt that was suppose to take place on Saturday April 4, 2020.

The committee will make plans to have a mega hunt in 2021.

“We as a committee are truly sorry, but our first concern is to keep everyone safe,” said Kathy Brenner in the statement. “We would like to also take this time to thank everyone that has supported us. We look forward to see all of you in 2021. Thank you.”

The committee had announced earlier this year that 10,000 Easter Eggs will be handed out this year.
