Elizabeth L. Miller, 91

Mrs. Elizabeth L. Miller of Ellwood City passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020, at her daughter’s residence.

Mrs. Miller was born in Ellwood City on July 12, 1928, to the late Raymond Ross Evans and Florence Mae (Wemer) Evans. She is a member of The First Christian Church in Franklin Township and a past member of The Chewton Christian Church. For many years she worked as a child caregiver, catering server, and housekeeper. Mrs. Miller enjoyed activities such as camping, gardening, crocheting, walking, knitting, crafting, and most of all visiting with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Florence M. McElwain of Ellport, her son, Larry (Katheryn Lynn) Miller of Ellwood City, her brother, Ralph Evans of North Sewickley Township, her sister, Bertha Wright of Hardyville, her six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and her close friends, Clementine Amadio and Judy Boker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lawrence Miller, whom she married on June 14, 1946, and passed away on January 7, 1980, her daughter, Carrie Jean Forsythe, her son-in-law, Kenneth Forsythe, her sister-in-law, Frances Evans, and her sisters, Louise Radich and Ethel Hairhoger.

Mrs. Miller’s Family would like to extend a special thank you to the Three Rivers Hospice for the wonderful care that they extended to her.

Memorial contributions can be made in Mrs. Miller’s name to the Three Rivers Hospice, 26 Nesbit Road, Suite 200, New Castle, PA 16105, or to the Ellwood City Area Public Library.

As per Mrs. Miller’s wishes, there will not be a public visitation or service. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to The Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.
