Ann Kocevar McAnallen, 97, of Ellport passed away at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford on Friday, December 13, 2019.
Born in Ellport on November 17, 1922, Ann was the daughter of the late Anton and Katarina Broderic Kocevar. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. McAnallen on June 19, 2002. They were married on November 23, 1946. Ann had worked in a small steel mill during World War II and after her children were grown she worked for a catering business. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish where she volunteered on the Bereavement Committee and the Nutroll and Pierogi Crews. Ann was a member of the Ellport Booster Club and Ellport Homemakers Club, she was a 1940 graduate of Lincoln High School.
Ann is survived by her 7 children, Frances Theresa (James) Robb of Cory, PA, Joanne (Ken) White of Virginia Beach, VA, Lawrence (Mary Jane) McAnallen of Collegeville, PA, Kathleen McAnallen of Brookville, PA, Susan Mazzant of Ellwood City, Dennis (Karen) McAnallen of Ellwood City and Jack McAnallen of Pittsburgh, 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Ann was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Anthony and John Kocevar and 4 sisters, Mary Antloger, Jennie Kocevar, Katherine Bellissimo and Frances Soltesz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Holy Redeemer Church on Monday, December 16, 2019 at 11 AM by Fr. Mark L. Thomas.
Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
Family suggests memorial contributions can be made in Ann’s name to Holy Redeemer Social Services, 300 Crescent Ave., Ellwood City, PA 16117 or the Ellwood Area Public Library, 415 Lawrence Ave., Ellwood City, PA 16117.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport.
