Ellwood City Area Public Library Activities For Week of November 4

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities.  Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

Activities taking place this week include

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5

10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. – “Family Laptime,” designed for babies as young as 6 months of age, toddlers, and preschoolers. This is an interactive, family event and features stories, songs, games, finger plays and more. Registration is requested.

5:00 p.m. – “Food for Thought II Book Group,” the group will be discussing the book “The Darkest Part of the Forest” by Holly Black.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 6 

10:00 a.m. – “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public. It is designed to help reduce stresses of everyday life. All adults are welcome.

3:00 p.m. – “Creative Writing Workshop,” for students in seventh grade and up. This group meets twice each month to share their work and discuss writing tips and techniques.

6:30 p.m. – “Evening Book Group for Adults,” the group will be discussing the book “The Flight Attendant” by Chris Bohjalian.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7

10:00 a.m. – “Preschool Storytime,” for preschoolers 3 to 5 years old. Those participating must be potty-trained. Stories, songs, games and finger plays are featured. Registration is requested.

3:00 p.m. – “Hooked on Books Book Group,’ the group will be discussing the book “The Brilliant Fall of Gianna Z.” by Kate Messner.

6:00 p.m. – “Adult Knitting Group,” which meets weekly to work on individual projects. New members are welcome.

SAVE THE DATE:

The Ellwood City Library will be hosting a “Wine Glass Painting Party,” December 6 at 6:00 p.m. The cost is $35.00 per person which includes two glasses to be painted, wine, cheese and cookies. Tickets are available at the Library.
