Ellwood City Area Public Library Activities For Week of October 28

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities.  Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

Activities taking place this week include

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 29

10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. – “Family Laptime,” designed for babies as young as 6 months of age, toddlers, and preschoolers. This is an interactive, family event and features stories, songs, games, finger plays and more. Registration is requested.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 30

10:00 a.m. – “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public. It is designed to help reduce the stresses of everyday life. All adults are welcome.

6:00-7:30 p.m. – “Library Trick or Treat,” come in costume and receive treats!

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 31

10:00 a.m. – “Preschool Storytime,” for preschoolers 3 to 5 years old. Those participating must be potty-trained. Stories, songs, games and finger plays are featured. Registration is requested.

6:00 p.m. – “Adult Knitting Group,” which meets weekly to work on individual projects. New members are welcome.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 2

10:00 a.m. – Silly Science and Lego Day,” featuring fun and silly science experiments, robotics and Lego building. This monthly program is designed for children in kindergarten through 6th grade. No registration is required.

11:30 a.m. – “Twenty Something Book Group,” the group will be discussing the book “Three Parts Dead” by Max Gladstone.

Noon- “Annual Literary Luncheon,” Doors open at the Connoquenessing Country Club at 10:30. Featuring a full luncheon menu, prizes, games and a chance to win gift baskets and more.

SAVE THE DATE:

The Ellwood City Library will be hosting a “Wine Glass Painting Party,” December 6 at 6:00 p.m. The cost is $35.00 per person which includes two glasses to be painted, wine, cheese and cookies. Tickets are available at the Library.
