The Women of Faith International, Inc. will be holding their 2nd annual dinner/outreach program this year. After a successful free Christmas dinner last year the group has planned this year’s dinner for December 25, 2019 beginning at 11:00 am.
The event is scheduled to be held at First United Methodist Church, 416 Crescent Avenue, in Ellwood City and will held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The event is hosted by First United Methodist Church, Risen Savior Church, and Women of Faith International, Inc.
It is important to the group that they remain steadfast in the vision God gave last year, to provide a warm, homemade meal to anyone who is alone or hungry, to distribute new hats, gloves, socks, blankets to all to promote a deep sense of comradery among all who enter, enjoying a Haven of Rest and much needed love and joy.
Most of all, the group wants to focus on the true reason for the Season… the birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
The group hopes to provide resource tables filled with community and social service helps as well as Bibles, devotionals, tracts, and other church information. Everyday items such as hygiene products will also be available.
The group is asking for help in several ways including volunteering. If anyone is interested in volunteering, donating finances, or donating new giveaway items, please contact the group leader, Norina Owens.
Any tax-deductible donations received over and above the cost of the dinner will be used for ministry outreaches at the discretion of the coordinators.
Don’t be alone or hungry this Christmas season. Spend time with the Women of Faith International. Everyone is welcome!
