Mrs. Margaret L. Innocent, 96, of Ellwood City passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019 at the Passavant Community in Zelienople.
Mrs. Innocent was born on December 15, 1922, in Gallitzin, Pa to the late Paul and Anna (Harakzen) Lukovics. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1941 and is a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish. She had worked at the Riverside High School in the cafeteria as a cook and baker for nine years. She enjoyed being a member of the Golden Agers, cooking, and baking. Above all, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters, Diane (James) Daley of Charlotte, NC and Peggy Kemp of Ellwood City, her son, Anthony D. (Ruthie) Innocent of Chippewa Twp., her grandchildren, David, Gregory, Alison, Amy, Steven, and Carol, her ten great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death her parents, her husband, Anthony T. Innocent whom she married on January 19, 1942, and passed away on December 4, 1992, her son-in-law, Len Kemp, her sisters, Rose Wolfe, Helen Petro, Elizabeth Pollak, Mary Martinka, and Anne Fatter, and her brother, Albert Lukovics.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3-7 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 10:00 am at the Holy Redeemer Church with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Mrs. Innocent’s name may be made to the Passavant Benevolent Care Fund.
