Ellwood City Library Activities For The Week Of September 2

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities.  Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

Activities taking place this week include

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 2

The Ellwood City Area Public Library will be closed in observance of Labor Day. Normal hours will resume Tuesday, September 3.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4

10:00 a.m. – “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public. It is designed to help reduce stresses of everyday life. All adults are welcome.

3:00 p.m. – “Creative Writing Workshop,” for students in seventh grade and up. This group meets twice each month to share their work and discuss writing tips and techniques.

6:30 p.m. – “Evening Book Group for Adults,” the group will be discussing the book “Today Will Be Different” by Maria Semple.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5

3:00 p.m. – “Hooked on Books Book Group,” the group will be discussing the book “Every Soul A Star” by Wendy Mass.

6:00 p.m. – “Adult Knitting Group,” which meets weekly to work on individual projects. New members are welcome.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7

10:00 p.m. – “Silly Science and Lego Day,” featuring fun and silly science experiments, robotics and Lego building. This monthly program is designed for children in kindergarten through 6th grade. No reservation is required.

SAVE THE DATE

The Library’s “Ellwood City Golf Ball Roll Open” will be held on Saturday, September 28 as part of the Community’s “Fall Fest” Celebration. Tickets for the Golf Ball Roll are available at the library and all proceeds benefit library programs. The winner will receive a monetary prize. Call the library for more information.

The library is currently accepting books for their annual book sale held in October. No textbooks of any type, magazines, Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, encyclopedias or VHS tapes will be accepted.
