Ellwood City Library Activities For The Week Of August 5

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

Activities taking place this week include

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 7

9:30 a.m. – “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public. It is designed to help reduce stresses of everyday life. All adults are welcome.

Noon – “Book Bunch Book Group,” the group will be discussing the book “Crenshaw” by Katherine Applegate.

1:00 p.m. – “Building Buddies,” a program of fun and learning for toddlers and preschoolers. This interactive program allows kids to explore building and socialization skills. No registration is required.

6:30 p.m. – “Evening Book Group for Adults,” the group is discussing the book “The Great Alone” by Kristin Hannah.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 8

Noon – “Hooked on Books Book Group,” the group will be discussing the book “Wolf Hollow” by Lauren Wolk.

6:00 p.m. – “Family Movie Night,” designed for preschoolers and early elementary-aged children. A full-length feature film is shown and refreshments are served. Since this is a family night event, all children must be accompanied by an adult. Call the library for more information 724-758-6458.

The library is currently accepting books for their annual book sale held in October. No textbooks of any type, magazines, Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, encyclopedias or VHS tapes will be accepted.
