Library Activities For The Week Of July 15

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

Activities taking place this week include

MONDAY, JULY 15

10:00 a.m. – “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public. It is designed to help reduce stresses of everyday life. All adults are welcome.

1:30 p.m. – “Afternoon Book Group for Adults,” the group will be discussing the book “The Ninth Hour” by Alice McDermott

TUESDAY, JULY 16

6:30 p.m. – “Puppet Theater Show,” a puppet theater will be putting on a play for family, friends and other Summer Reading Program-goers.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 17

10:00 a.m. – “Puppet Theater Show,” a puppet theater will be putting on a play for family, friends and other Summer Reading Program-goers.

1:00 p.m. – “Building Buddies,” a program of fun and learning for toddlers and preschoolers. This interactive program allows kids to explore building and socialization skills. No registration is required.

3:00 p.m. – “Creative Writing Workshop,” for students in seventh grade and up. This group meets twice each month to share their work and discuss writing tips and techniques.

THURSDAY, JULY 18

Noon – “Just for Girls Book Group,” the group will be discussing the book “Jane Unlimited” by Kristin Cashore.

6:00 p.m. – “Adult Knitting Group,” which meets weekly to work on individual projects. New members are welcome.

SATURDAY, JULY 20

1:00 p.m. – Star Wars characters will be visiting the Ellwood City Area Public Library.

The library is currently accepting books for their annual book sale held in October. No textbooks of any type, magazines, Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, encyclopedias or VHS tapes will be accepted.
