Flood Help May Be Available For Franklin Township Residents

According to information made available by Franklin Township this week, residents may have help in recovering from the recent bouts of heavy rains and flooding that hit the area late last month.

If you had first-floor damage to your house regarding the recent flash flood, please contact the township secretary, Shannon Schlosser, at twpsecretary@zoominternet.net to get a survey to fill out.

The township has to collect a damage assessment report to submit to the County. The township will need at least 25 homes with first-floor damage and 19 million in damage throughout PA from that specific storm, to possibly be eligible for any funding.

Additionally, a veteran-led nonprofit disaster response team, Team Rubicon is now stationed in Fombell at Living Faith Baptist Church. The team is here to help township residents from the recent storm. Please call 213-712-6344 for more information.

Franklin Township is located in the very Northeast top of Beaver County with the Connoquenessing Creek forming the Southwest Boundary. Franklin Township was established by an Act of Legislation on February 28, 1850. Their website can be found at www.franklintownshipbeavercounty.com.
