John Wayne Bubb, 71, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019 at his home in Wayne Township surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Ellwood City on November 8, 1947, John was the son of the late William A. and Dorothy DiBell Bubb. John had worked as a mechanic at Copart. He enjoyed being with his family, making people laugh and working on cars. John was a hard worker all his life and would lend a hand to help anyone. John will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
John is survived by his wife of 51 years, the former Barbara Greenwood, his son, John C. (Tammy) Bubb and daughter, Amy J. (David) Gebrosky both of Ellwood City. Five grandchildren, Ian Bubb, Kaitlyn, Eric, Noah and Alyssa Gebrosky a sister, Pat Schlagel, three brothers, William (Phyllis) Bubb, Robert Bubb and Paul (Debbie) Bubb and his father-in-law, Charles Greenwood.
John was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jim Bubb and six sisters, Florence Bingle, Norma Haswell, Jean Schlagel, Lillian Hall, Ruth Snyder and Eleanor Lindsey.
Friends may call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 6 PM until the time of his funeral service at 8 PM.
