Ellwood City & Beaver County Tree Disposal Information

With the Christmas season winding down, the once lively trees that brought joy and light up our homes are dying and needles are rapidly covering homes. From now until January 31, 2019, borough residents can drop these dying trees off at Stiefel Park.

Due to the construction of the new public works building, the Christmas Tree drop off location has changed to the Women’s Softball (upper field) Field parking lot at Stiefel Park.

Residents who drop off trees are reminded that they must remove all decorations and stands from the trees prior to the drop off.

Please only drop off live trees, no artificial trees will be eligible.

On top of our own borough drop off, Brady’s Run Park will be holding a drop off at the county’s Recycling Center during their regular business hours. These hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. the first and third Saturdays of the month.

The trees dropped off at Brady’s Run will be mulched up and layered into the county’s expansive compost site in Brighton Township, along with leaves, brush, grass clippings, tree trimmings and other yard waste collected from residents, municipalities and landscapers.
