Two local roller hockey teams collected recent championships in the Stiefel Hockey Fall League. The A League champions were Darkness, who had bested Rage 5-1 in the finale, while The Alchemists claimed a repeat championship in the B League.
Darkness finished the fall season with a 7-1 regular season record and the team led the A League in goal differential. Jake Hopper led Darkness with 23 points (15 goals, 8 assists) during the fall session regular season. Team Rage was led by John Brown who led the fall session league in scoring in the regular season with 29 regular season points (14 goals, 15 assists).
Defensively, goaltender Jim Ford, of Team Darkness, tied for the regular season lead with five victories (4.00 GAA, .771 SV%). Antonio Huber, of The Alchemists, faced a league high 160 shots (120 saves) while Bronson Allman, of Team Rage led the regular season in save percentage (78 SA, 68 Saves).
In the B League Fall Session, champions, The Alchemists, claimed victory in the final two minutes of the game. They took the championship game by scoring 3 unanswered goals. The Alchemists have now won back to back championships in the 2018 season.
