Ellwood City Library Activities For The Week Of November 5

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities.  Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

Activities taking place this week include:

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5
In observance of Veteran’s Day the Ellwood City Area Public Library will be closed. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 6
10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.- “Family Laptime,” designed for babies as young as 6 month of age, toddlers, and preschoolers. This is an interactive, family event and features stories, songs, games, and finger plays and more. Registration is requested.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7
10:00 a.m.- “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public. It is designed to help reduce stresses of everyday life. All adults are welcome.
3:00 p.m.- “Creative Writing Workshop,” for students in seventh grade and up. The group meets twice each moth to share their work and discuss writing tips and techniques.
6:30- “Evening Book Discussion Group for Adults,” The group will discuss the book, “I’m Having So Much Fun Here Without You” by Courtney Maum.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 8
10:00 a.m.- “Preschool Storytime,” for preschoolers 3 to 5 years old. Those participating must be potty-trained. Stories, songs, games and finger plays are featured. Registration is requested.
3:00 p.m.- “Just for Girls Book Group,” The group will discuss the book, “Caraval” by Stephanie Garber.
6:00 p.m.- “Adult Knitting Group,” which meets weekly to work on individual projects. New members are welcome.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 10
1:00 p.m.- “Star Wars Celebration,” The Library will be visited by characters from the Star Wars movies. No registration is needed. This event is open to kids and adults.

SAVE THE DATE

 The library is planning a holiday Canvas Paint Party for Friday, November 16.  The evening will feature a holiday theme along with food and wine.  Seating is limited so call the library to obtain a ticket or for more information.
