Local Man Tazed For Drunken Rampage

Michael Cleckley, 30, of Ellwood City paid the Ellwood City Police a visit on Sunday, October 28. Cleckley was reportedly extremely drunk and causing a public disturbance by going around and yelling outside of the Municipal Building. When police went to ask him so be quiet, Cleckley walked towards the officer and began directing his screaming rampage at him. Cleckley then began to claim he had been stabbed with a knife, and proceeded to show police a completely unscathed arm. It was then when the officer tried to calm him down, but Cleckley only made threats towards the officer.

The officer then informed him that he was under arrest, to which Cleckley refused and attempted to square up with the officer who was arresting him. Cleckley was dragged into a cell where he proceeded to refuse to go into the cell and make threats to other officers.

Cleckley was then warned three times before he was tazed. He was released in the morning and pending summons.
