Two reports of vehicle thefts were reported this week on Ellwood City’s North Side – each reported within 24 hours of each other.
First, on Wednesday, September 19th, Erica Miller, of Hazel Avenue, reported that an unknown actor entered a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe parked in her driveway between 10:00 p.m and 7:30 a.m. Miller reported that her ashtray was removed which contained $3.00 to $4.00 dollars in change. Miller stated that the motor vehicle was left unlocked at the time of incident.
Less than twenty-four hours later, a second report of vehicle theft was reported Thursday morning. Sarah Edinger, of Smiley Street, reported at approximately 8:00 a.m that her 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer was entered into and items stolen. Edinger had left her car unlocked in her driveway when the actor stole an auxiliary cord and approximately $5.00 in change.
Both incidents are under further investigation by Ellwood City Police. Police advise all residents to secure personal belongs and lock your motor vehicles.
This had happened to me and my sister, who happens to be my neighbor. We just didn’t report anything. We are behind the high school.
