REMINDER: Ellwood City Announces “Door to Door Clean Up” Program

Ellwood City Council has approved Valley Waste Service to provide “Door to Door Clean Up” in 2018 for their residents. The total cost of this service, as previously quoted, is $37,950.00. The program will begin on Saturday, September 15, and will run for five consecutive Saturdays concluding on October 13. The “Clean Up Schedule” will be as follows:

Regular Pick Up DayClean Up Date Schedule
MondaySaturday, September 15
TuesdaySaturday, September 22
WednesdaySaturday, September 29
ThursdaySaturday, October 6
FridaySaturday, October 13

All Clean Up items must be placed where you normally place your yellow bags for regular trash pickup. Clean Up items should be placed in the proper location on the Friday before your scheduled Saturday pick up shown above.

The following items will not be included in the Clean Up program:

  • Tires
  • Car Batteries
  • Dismantled Automobiles
  • Broken Concrete
  • Bricks
  • Stones
  • Dirt
  • Containers w/ liquid (solvents, paint thinners, oil, gas, kerosene, water)
  • Paint Cans (unless emptied and dried)
  • Hazardous Materials
  • Items Containing Freon
  • Electric Waste (TV’s, computers, monitors, mouse, faxes, printers, DVD/DVR players, game consoles, phones)

    It’s wonderful. Does it include Brighton Road?
    Only via a friend I heard about it. Needs to be published more. Brighton Road would very much appreciate this service.
