“Summer of Art”: The Ellwood City Art Club is offering Saturday art classes lead by art club members. These classes are open to everyone and held at the Ellwood Area Family Center from 10am-12pm. Reservations are due 2 weeks prior to the class. Today’s class is an oil painting taught by Lynne Banting for ages 16+. Cost is $21.

HOPE Festival Ellwood City: Join nonprofit agencies as they convene on the 500 block of Lawrence Avenue, Ellwood City from 10am – 3pm to provide encouragement and help for people who have fallen on hard times such as from a lost job, health problems, drug or alcohol abuse, pregnancy, divorce or a host of other issues. Monday, August 27th:

Pool Party: The Ellwood City Council Parks and Recreation Committee is having a Adult Dance Pool Party at Ewing Park from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The theme of the party is oldies and DJ Franko will be playing music from the 50’s 60’s and 70’s. People are welcome to dance, mingle, swim or relax and enjoy the music.The concession stand will be open for those attending the event. There is a $5 admission fee.

Thursday, August 30th:
