Patricia A. “Pat” Turner, 95, of Ellwood City, passed away in the Ellwood City Medical Center on Friday July 27, 2018.
Born in Ellwood City on November 15, 1922, Pat was the daughter of the late Carl “Les” and Anna Boyle Vogt. A 1940 graduate of Lincoln High School, Pat married Francis R. “Bud” Turner on July 7, 1943. Bud preceded her in death on August 11, 2009 after 66 years of marriage. Pat was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of its Christian Mothers. One of the two remaining charter members of the Town & Country Garden Club, Pat was still active and attending meetings. Pat was a member and Past President of the Ellwood City Municipal Women’s Club and a member of the Ellwood City Historical Society. She also served as Judge of Elections for the 2nd Ward.
Pat is survived by her daughters, Linda (David) Chenoweth of Roswell, GA, Beth (Steve) Manning of Los Angeles, CA, four grandchildren; Meghan Chenoweth, Erik Chenoweth, Scott Chenoweth and Rebecca Fletcher, three great-grandchildren; Lilly Grace Chenoweth, Ava Fletcher and Gavin Fletcher, her sister, Mary Ellen McDowell of Ellwood City, and two nephews, Rick McDowell and Wade McDowell.
Friends will be received on Monday, July 30th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 31st at 10:00 AM at Holy Redeemer Church with Fr. Mark Thomas. Christian Mothers are asked to meet at the Church to form the Honor Guard. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made in Pat’s name to either the Ellwood City Area Public Library, 415 Lawrence Ave., or to the Ellwood City Historical Society, 310 5th St., Ellwood City, PA 16117.
