The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458. Activities taking place this week include:
WEDNESDAY
10 a.m. — “Coloring for Adults,” (resumes on Wednesdays) a weekly program that is free and open to the public. It is designed to help reduce the stresses of everyday life. All adults are welcome.
1 p.m. — “Building Buddies,” a new program of fun and learning for toddlers and preschoolers. This interactive program allows kids to explore building and socialization skills. No registration is required.
3 p.m. — “Creative Writing Workshop,” for students in seventh grade and up. The group meets twice each month to share their work and discuss writing tips and techniques.
6 p.m. — “Movie Night for Adults,” featuring new-to-DVD films and refreshments. The schedule for the remainder of 2018 is now available at the library.
THURSDAY
Noon — “Bookworms,” a book discussion group for students in fourth and fifth grades. The group meets once each month for book discussion, pizza and activities.
6 p.m. — “Adult Knitting Group,” which meets weekly to work on individual projects. New members are welcome.
6:30 p.m. — “Fairytale Theater,” puppet shows will be performed by high school students at the stage in the children’s area of the library. All preschool and early grade school children are welcome with their families. No registration is required. Cast Call is 5:30 p.m.
The library is currently accepting books for their annual book sale held in October. No textbooks of any type, magazines, Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, encyclopedias or VHS tapes will be accepted.
