Thomas P. Shaffer, 85 of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 7:27 AM in Butler Township.
Born in Franklin Township on November 11, 1932, Thomas was the son of the late Clarence and Hazel Palm Shaffer. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Prokop Shaffer in 2001. He was retired from Matthew where he worked as a millwright. Thomas was a member of the 1st Christian Church in Ellwood City and veteran of the Navy serving in the Korean War.
Surviving is a step-daughter, Charlotte A. Ferringer of Clarion, PA, 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Besides his parents and wife, Thomas was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Joyce Hogue, his friend, Sarah Gallaher and 6 brothers, Russell, Harold, Charles, Chester, Jack and Robert Shaffer.
Entombment took place in Slippery Rock Church Cemetery.
Arrangements where entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory.
