Lincoln High School has 120 seniors graduating in the class of 2018. There are eight students who will graduate with high honors.
The top eight students listed in alphabetical order:
Michael J. Ace, son of Jennifer Ace, participated in the Carpenters Project and was a member of the gifted program, National Honor Society and drama club. He plans to attend Westminster College to become a veterinarian.
Neisa M. Carsele, daughter of Rocky and Kirsten Carsele, was Lincoln’s senior class president and varsity cheerleader captain. She was the former president of peer leadership and the caring team, the former secretary of the National Honor Society, a member of student council and participated in Relay for Life, the Ellwood City Fall Festival, the annual Arts, Crafts and Food Festival and the Easter Egg Hunt. Carsele was the two-year master of ceremonies at the Ellwood City Meet the Candidates Night, a three-time participant in KDKA’s Hometown High-Q and was a part of the gifted program. She plans to attend Penn State University to become a physician’s assistant in dermatology.
Katelyn V. Cole, daughter of Randlall and Rita Cole, was the drama club president, a member of the jazz band, marching band, pep band and concert band, a member of the history club and National Honor Society. She was a games director at vacation Bible school, and helped at the Holy Redeemer parish festival. She was also on Holy Redeemer’s worship committee and a participant in the Carpenter’s Project. Cole plans to attend Robert Morris University to become a cyber cryptographer.
Zoe M. Kalantzis, daughter of George and Jo Ann Kalantzis, was captain of Lincoln’s basketball and softball teams. She also was a member of band, National Honor Society, peer leadership and extreme leadership. She was president of envirothon club. She volunteered at St. John the Baptists Orthodox Church. Kalantzis plans to attend Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University to study biomedical engineering.
Dia A Neupauer, daughter of Michael and Sheila Neupauer, was a member of student council, peer leadership, National Honor Society and the caring team. She also was senior class treasurer and participated in cheerleading. Neupauer plans on attending West Virginia University to eventually work in the medical field.
Kyle D. Smith, son of Douglas and Joanne Smith, was a member of the National Honor Society, peer leadership, German club, Keystone boys state, student council, Eagle Scout Troop 806, history club, brotherhood member in the Order of the Arrow and Ellwood City Culture Club member. Smith was a three-year golf team letterman and four-year basketball player. He participated in the Carpenter’s Project and was the senior class vice president. Smith was a World Affairs Council representative and a WPIAL Sportsmanship Conference representative. He also is a member of the First United Methodist Church. Smith plans on attending the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and become an officer in the U.S. Air Force.
Dominick J. Spadafore, son of Tania and Eugene Spadafore, was a member of the football, basketball, baseball and track and field teams. He was a member of the National Honor Society, student council and French club. Spadafore plans on attending Penn State-Behrend and then transfer to Penn State’s main campus to study computer hardware engineering.
Jaylin R. Tuttle, daughter of Jay Tuttle, was a member of the S.A.V.E. club, history club and Y-teens. She was also president of French club. Tuttle plans on attending Duquesne University to study pharmacy.
