Patricia Jean Maybray,74, of Ellwood City died peacefully in her sleep at Good Samaritan Hospice surrounded by her loving family on Monday, May 28, 2018 after a courageous, 4-year battle with cancer.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, niece, cousin and friend. She was smart, strong and brave and fought hard through any adversity she faced through this thing called life. Her sense of humor and wit were unmatched and enabled her to persevere. Her compassion, kind heart, generosity and unconditional love were unwavering and will forever be missed by those she held dear. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially the light and love of her life, granddaughter, Emma Rose. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, joking, laughing, crossword puzzles, playing bingo, cards and board games, her favorite being Scrabble.
She is survived by her son David (Audrey) Maybray, daughter Jami Maybray, brothers Eugene (Barb) Sanders and Thomas Sanders, granddaughter Emma Rose, an uncle Eugene (Jean) Morabito, numerous cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Rosa Sanders, aunts, uncles, cousins, and her best friend beloved dog Daisy Mae.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2:00 pm until the time of the Blessing Service at 4:00 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services with Father David Rombold officiating. Interment will be at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
An extra special thank you to Dawn Parker and the amazing staff at Good Samaritan Hospice for taking such excellent care of her and making her transition into eternal restfulness as peaceful as possible.
