Vida Louise DeSanzo, 89 of Ellwood City, passed away at The Grove at Harmony on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 8:31 PM.
Born in Ellwood City on April 14, 1929 Vida was the daughter of the late Natala and Vera Volpe Rubino. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle E. DeSanzo on June 22, 1972. Vida was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish.
Vida is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Susan DeSanzo of Ellport, 3 grandchildren, Angela Potter of Atlanta, GA, Jason DeSanzo of Ellwood City and Steven DeSanzo of Mansfield, TX, 7 great grandchildren, Jaedyn, Mariah, Alannah, Benjamin, Joshua, Savannah and Alexza and a sister, Mrs. Joseph “Rosemarie” Bellissimo of Los Angeles, CA.
Besides her parents and husband, Vida was preceded in death by 2 sons, Eugene and Richard DeSanzo, 2 sisters, Dolly Loccisano and Natty DeCarbo and a brother Samuel R. Rubino.
Friends may call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Blessing Service will be offered at the Funeral Home on Friday at 11 AM by Fr. Mark L. Thomas. Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
