Carol A. Canterbury, 67, of Perry Township, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
Carol was born on June 14, 1950 in Beaver County to the late Roy S. Canterbury, Sr. and Nora Canterbury of New Castle. She is a member of the Riverside High School class of 1968, and graduated from the Community College of Beaver County with a degree in nursing. She had worked as a Registered Nurse at the Ellwood City Hospital from 1989 until retiring from the Intensive Care Unit in 2011. She also worked as a Private Duty Nurse for Lawrence “Butch” Wiley for many years. She enjoyed reading, baking, cooking, and most of all being with her family.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Beth Miller and her companion Jerry Howell of Perry Twp., her grandchildren, Miranda Miller, Samuel Howell, and Nichole Miller, and her great grandchild, Josephine Heckart., She is also survived by her sister Royellen Canterbury of New Castle, her brothers, Roy (Kippy) Canterbury, Jr. of Ellport and Jack Canterbury, and her brother-in-law, Bill King of Ellwood City.
She was preceded in death by her father, her sisters, Florence “Sugar” Canterbury, Rose Palmer, and June King, and her brothers, Kenneth and Brian Canterbury.
As per Carol’s wishes there will not be a public visitation or service. The funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services.
