Activities taking place at the Ellwood City Area Public Library include the following:
Monday, April 9, at 6:30 p.m. – Classics Book Discussion Group for Adults. The group will discuss the book, “Jamaica Inn,” by Daphne Du Maurier. New members are welcome, so call the library at 724-758-6458 for more information.
Tuesday, April 10, at 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. — Family Laptime, a weekly program designed for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. The spring session, which will be held every Tuesday through April 24, features stories, songs, games and more. Registration is requested, so call the library for more information.
Tuesday, April 10, at 4:00 p.m. – The library’s Anniversary Committee will meet to discuss future events and fundraising activities. New members are always welcome. Call the library for more information.
Wednesday, April 11, at 10:00 a.m. — “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public. “Coloring for Adults” is a program designed to help reduce the stresses of everyday life. Everyone is welcome, so call the library for more information.
Wednesday, April 11, at 6:30 p.m. – Evening Book Discussion Group for Adults. The group, which usually meets the first Wednesday of each month but was rescheduled for April, will discuss the book, “This House is Mine,” by Dorte Hansen. Call the library for more information.
Thursday, April 12, at 10:00 a.m. — Preschool Story Time for preschoolers ages 3 years old and up. The weekly spring session, which will be held every Tuesday through April 26, features stories, songs, games and more. Registration is requested, so call the library for more information and to register.
Thursday, April 12, at 3:00 p.m. – “Just 4 Girls,” a book discussion group for girls in 9th grade and up. The group meets monthly for book discussion and pizza. Call the library for more information.
Thursday, April 12, at 6:00 p.m. — Adult Knitting Group whose members meet weekly to work on individual projects. New members are welcome, so call the library for more information.
The library will be hosting a fun “Paint Night” fundraiser from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 27, at the library Those attending will create a 16 x 20 inch canvass painting and enjoy complimentary wine, cheese and other refreshments. The cost is $35 and space is limited, so call the library now for more information.
The library is now accepting book donations for the Annual Book Sale which is scheduled for October 1-6. Books of all types in good condition may be dropped off at the library during regular business hours. The library will NOT accept textbooks of any type, no magazines, no Readers’ Digest Condensed Books, no encyclopedias and no VHS tapes. Call the library for more information.
