Mrs. Grace R. Jance, 93, of Perry Twp. passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at her residence.
Mrs. Jance was born in Pittsburgh on September 4, 1924 to the late Ralph S. and Mary Ann Neurour Ford. She had graduated from the Westview High School with the class of 1942. Before getting married, Grace worked for the Bell Telephone Company as an operator. She enjoyed bowling, swimming, and watching baseball.
Grace is survived by her daughter Patricia Jance of Perry Twp., her son John Jance of Perry Twp., her grandchildren James Jance, Desiree Barensfield, Christina Jance, and Henry William Jance, and her 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Chester J. Jance whom she married on September 4, 1945 and passed away on October 5, 1991, her sisters Caroline Neal, Rita Finley, Mary Hicks, Rose Brosenitch, and her brothers James Ford and John Ford.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 pm until the time of the Blessing Service at 7;00 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services. Interment will be at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Mrs. Jance’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
