Activities taking place at the Ellwood City Area Public Library include the following:
The library will be closed on Monday, January 1, in observance of the New Year’s Day Holiday. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday, January 2.
Wednesday, January 3, at 10 :00 a.m. — “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public. “Coloring for Adults” is a program designed to help reduce the stresses of everyday life. Everyone is welcome, so call the library at 724-758-6458 for more information.
Wednesday, January 3, at 3:00 p.m. – Creative Writing Workshop for students in 7th grade and up. The group meets twice each month to share their work and discuss writing tips and techniques. Call the library for more information.
Thursday, January 4, at 3:00 p.m. – “Hooked on Books,” a book discussion group for students in 6th through 8th grades. The group meets once each month for book discussion and pizza. New members are welcome, so call the library for more information.
Thursday, January 4, at 6:00 p.m. — Adult Knitting Group whose members meet weekly to work on individual projects. New members are welcome, so call the library for more information.
Saturday, January 6, at 10:00 a.m. – “Silly Science and Lego Day,” featuring fun science experiments with snow and Lego building. No registration is required, so call the library for more information.
Saturday, January 6, at 12:00 Noon – Twenty-Something Book Discussion Group, designed for college-aged students and people in their twenties. The group meets once each month for book discussion and pizza. Call the library for more information.
“Movie Night for Adults” will not be held in December or January, but will resume for 2018 in February. Call the library after the new year begins to discover the titles of the films to be shown and the dates the movie nights are planned.
