David A. Quintanilla, 66, of Ellwood City, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.Born on October 23, 1951, David graduated from Lincoln High School and Lawrence County VoTech in 1970 where he studied restaurant trades. He served his chef apprenticeship at the Duquesne Club in Pittsburgh. He owned his own business, Chef DAQ in Ellwood City. In 2003, David earned his bachelor’s degree from Penn State in Human Development and Family Studies. David always had a smile and an encouraging word. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
David is survived by his children, Alexis McClymonds of Ellwood City and David J. (Michelle) Quintanilla of Ellport and two grandsons, Christopher and Jordan Quintanilla.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Quintanilla.
Friends will be received on Sunday, December 17th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to the time of the funeral service at 8:00 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport. Interment will take place in Locust Grove Cemetery.
